Sucker Springs (Shasta County, CA)
This former DFG hatchery site project was initiated by the Spring Rivers Ecological Sciences team and is currently well into the eradication phase of the introduced Signal crayfish that displace the federally endangered Shasta crayfish found here.
After eradication is complete, the small spring fed tributary to the Pit River is proposed for restoration work to mimic conditions prior to excavation for the hatchery operation. For more information on Shasta crayfish and Sucker Springs, visit www.SpringRivers.com .
